The Patriot Battalion celebrated Halloween early this year. On Friday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 a.m., the Battalion conducted its annual Halloween Run. The Patriot Battalion includes students from Providence College, Bryant University, UMASS-Dartmouth, Rhode Island College, Johnson & Wales, Brown University, and RISD. Several members of the student population joined the cadets in the event. Some Halloween costumes the cadets donned while running were Hermione Granger, a Teletubby, Borat, a princess, and Captain America. "My Mugatu costume was tough to beat, but Cristian Felice ['11], as Borat, gave a good showing," said Ryan Grady '11. "Its tough to lose to your roommate. I'll beat him next year. Glad to see some fellow PC students, though." The Battalion, led by LTC Matt McKinley and Cadet Ryan Totolo '10, went for a brisk morning run around campus. "This was a great opportunity to teach the aspiring officers the value of morale building and it resulted in a great time for all," said Totolo, Battalion commander. The run served as a building activity for the entire Battalion while allowing the cadets to have some fun. "I was a goofy tourist for the run this year - the run was a great chance to not only bring together all of the other cadets from the Patriot Battalion participating schools, but we were also able to get the rest of PC involved in a fun way by waking them up with some traditional Army Cadences," said Lauren Magrane '11. "Overall, it was a great chance to do what we love to do, but in a more relaxed and fun way!"
