Movie
Jurassic Park
Directed by Steven Spielberg
My brother and I begged our parents to take us to this movie when it first opened, but I think I only watched about one-third of it because I was so scared. But dinosaurs don't scare me anymore (most of the time), and I can finally appreciate Jurassic Park for the great film that it is.
Music
Bloc Party
Silent Alarm
Vice Records
Silent Alarm is the debut album from British band Bloc Party. I first heard it one night while hanging out in a friend's room. She was playing a CD in the background, and I was so impressed with the songs that I immediately had to know who we were listening to. I bought the album right away, and I still listen to it over and over again.
Book
Bridge to Terabithia
By Katherine Paterson
If you are one of the few people who did not read this book in elementary school, I suggest you pick it up right now. Even though it is technically a children's book, it is a classic story that I loved when I was younger. Without giving away any spoilers, this book has a heart-wrenching ending you will never forget.
