Women’s Soccer 

The women’s soccer team is currently undefeated, starting the season 2–0–6. The two wins both came at home against the University of Rhode Island and Stonehill. Through the first eight games, Jocy Koffi ’30 led the team with five goals, including two against Rutgers in a 3–3 tie. Koffi has already won two Big East Rookie of the Week awards. She isn’t the only Friar to win an award, as Stephanie Schoeley ’28 won Big East Defensive Player of the Week for Aug. 10–16. The second leading goal scorer is Signe Tingager ’30, who has three goals, including the game winner in the 2–1 victory over Stonehill. The Friars’ most recent game was on Sept. 10 when they hosted Maine. Buffalo transfer Carolyn Hinkle ’28 tied the game up late in the second half, defending the Friars undefeated status. Women’s soccer plays their next home game on Oct. 7 against Georgetown. 

Men’s Soccer 

Men’s soccer has started the 2026 season 4–2–1. The Friars have a strong offense. Iona transfer Alvaro Maneiro ’28 won Big East Offensive Player of the Week for Aug. 31–Sept. 6. This came after his two-goal game in a 3–1 victory over Harvard. He followed this performance up with goals in the Friars’ next two games, bringing his total to five on the year. Brian Garrepy ’28 has had two two-goal games this season against Quinnipiac and Rhode Island. Garrepy also has five goals on the season. Angelo Ventrella ’29 is having an impressive start to the season, having already tallied six assists. Men’s soccer is back home on Sept. 22 against Brown. 

Volleyball 

The Volleyball team is off to an 8–1 start. This includes going 3–0 and winning both the Ocean State Cup, with wins over Brown, Bryant, and URI, and the Friar Classic, with wins over Manhattan, Stonehill, and Holy Cross. In the Friar Classic, the Friars did not drop a set. Three Friars made the All-Tournament team at the Ocean State Cup: Aubrey Easterwood ’30, Tori Otter ’29, and Miller McDonald ’27. Easterwood was also named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll following her performance at the Ocean State Cup and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Friar Classic. Otter claimed another All-Tournament team along with Ava Dyer ’30. The Friars open Big East competition at home against Depaul on Sept. 25 after playing in the Harvard tournament the previous weekend. 

Field Hockey 

Field Hockey has started the season 5–1 including an 11–0 win over New Haven. Lily Procaccianti ’27 performed a hat trick in thisFriars win against the Chargers. She followed that performance with a goal in a 3–0 win over Bryant. For these feats, she won Big East Offensive Player of the Week. The Friars also took home the Big East Defensive Player of the Week award for the same week, with Johanna Mahner ’28 winning the award. The Friars defeated Hofstra 2–1 in their most recent game with Piper Cline ’28 scoring both goals. The Friars are not back home until they host University of Connecticut on Oct. 2.
