Controversial influencer Clavicular is facing multiple criminal charges, and not for the first time. Braden Peters, also known as Clavicular, is a well known “Looksmaxxing” influencer with over two million followers across all platforms. “Looksmaxxing,” as defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is “the practice of taking one or more sometimes extreme or dangerous measures intended to increase one’s physical attractiveness.” Clavicular has promoted this regime since his popularity skyrocketed in early 2025. Recently, a content creator named Aleksandra Mendoza, known online as Alorah Zivah, pressed criminial charges on Clavicular for rape, drugging someone for sexual intercourse, and procuring liquor while under the age of 21.
In May 2025, Clavicular was livestreaming on Twitch at his family’s house in Cape Cod with Mendoza. According to the criminal complaint, Clavicular “instructed [Mendoza] to say that the alcohol is water, so that neither his Twitch account nor live stream gets banned.” Mendoza additionally told police she felt pressured to drink. Mendoza, born on Feb. 8, 2008, was 17 at the time; Clavicular was 19. After the stream ended, they made out on his couch, then fell asleep together on his bed. Mendoza stated she woke up to him having sexual intercourse with her, unconsentully, after which he called her an Uber home. On a separate livestream with Mendoza after the incident in May, Clavicular was seen to be injecting an unapproved fat-dissolving compound called Aqualyx into her cheek. They saw each other multiple times after that, but never went on a livestream together. Mendoza filed a lawsuit against Clavicular for sexual battery and injecting her face with Aqualyx. Clavicular denied these claims.
A couple of months later, on Sept. 8, a criminal complaint was filed, reporting the charges currently against Clavicular in relation to Mendoza. Since the charges were filed, Clavicular has posted multiple messages online, saying on Instagram, “Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money. Greed is evil.” He also posted thoughtful notes and texts sent from Mendoza a couple of months after the incident in March 2025. This has sparked a lot of discourse, with his followers posting heavily in his support, saying the charges are just a cash grab from Mendoza.
Clavicular is no stranger to run-ins with the law, as he was arrested in multiple instances for possession of drugs, possession of a fake ID, and shooting an alligator in Florida. Throughout all this, his loyal fans stick by him and seem to be brushing off these charges as well. Clavicular’s arraignment has been scheduled for the morning of Oct. 14, with a potential trial expected to take around a year.
