Couldn’t seem to snag a ticket to the record-breaking Eras Tour back in November 2022? Well, now you have the opportunity to see the performance for only $19.89 (but not in the way you think). Despite dominating the cultural calendar since March when she began her iconic billion-dollar Eras Tour, Swift has decided to continue this momentum on to the silver screen.

Towards the end of August, Swift announced that her movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, will be hitting theaters across North America on October 13. She shared this exciting news with a heartfelt caption, which reads: “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life… Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged.” The film is directed by Sam Wrench, who is behind other amazing tour films for performers such as Lizzo, BTS, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlisle, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, and Pentatonix.

If the Eras Tour and Ticketmaster scandal taught us anything, it is that anything connected to Swift means feverish demand. Theaters like AMC have promised an increased browser capacity to handle what they think will be a record-breaking number of visits to their website. However, the theater also recognized that despite their efforts, “no ticketing system in history seems to have been able to accommodate the soaring demand from Taylor Swift fans when tickets are first placed on sale.”

A documentary might seem like something that would be released at the end of a tour; however, Swift is far from done. She finished her North American leg of the Eras tour on August 27, with four shows in Mexico City. She will pick back up with her jaw-dropping performances in Argentina in November. With the film debuting two weeks prior to the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in October, this two-month break is sure to fly by for Swift.

Whether you’ve already seen Swift in person and know every word to every song of every era or are simply one of the hundreds of people at Providence College who only know You Belong With Me from screaming it at basketball games, this movie is not one to miss.

Tickets are on sale now exclusively through AMC.
